Muhammad Danial Hafiy bin Mohd Khairi

Since enrolling at IAC in May 2022, Muhammad Danial Hafiy (Danial) has made meaningful progress in his speech development, social habits, and classroom adaptability. 

When Danial first arrived, his vocalizations were largely non-meaningful and not understood by those around him. He also struggled with social play, preferring to play alone, declining to share toys, and finding it difficult to follow teacher instructions. Today, Danial uses functional and context appropriate speech to convey his thoughts. He regularly uses functional 2-to-3-word phrases to express himself and direct attention. He can spontaneously say things like, “Cikgu, tengok ini!” (“Teacher, look at this!”). He is one of the first students who will run up to the door and greet me with a great big smile if I haven’t seen him in a week.
